Bio - Karine Pion

Born in St-Hilaire near Montreal, Karine Pion has been discovering and deepening her knowledge of music, dance and stage directing since her teenage years. Her keen sense of vocal harmony and unique voice tone lead this Montreal’s University music graduate (voice – jazz interpretation) to join The Moonlight Girls in December 2006. In 2008, her passion for the stage has brought her to supervise the group’s new choreographies for their current Moonlight Café tour. In parallel with her activities with The Moonlight Girls, Karine performs on various stages as a dancer and vocal artist, notably with the Bourask gumboot dance company and with the a capella vocal group Boom Jacak in which she explores various avenues both as an interpret and a composer.
